Privacy architecture
zero-PII principle
AgeCheckPRO was architected from day one around a zero-PII principle. We don't store personally identifiable information because we never need to. Document images are processed in-memory and immediately discarded. Facial photographs never touch persistent storage. No biometric templates are generated or retained.
IP addresses are transformed into one-way SHA-256 hashes before logging, making them useful for rate limiting and abuse detection while preventing user tracking. Age data is stored only as grouped ranges ("18-20", "21-23") rather than exact dates of birth, eliminating the possibility of identity inference.
This architecture means AgeCheckPRO is not, in legal terms, a system for processing biometric data under GDPR Article 9 or equivalent regulations. In the event of a database breach, attackers would find only IP hashes and age ranges data that cannot identify any user.
QR handoff with
real-time synchronization.
The QR handoff flow solves a fundamental challenge in camera-based verification: most users browse from desktop computers, but camera-based verification works best on mobile devices with front and rear cameras, better lighting, and easier handling.
When the SDK detects a desktop device and the selected verification method requires camera access, it automatically generates a unique, temporary QR code. The user scans it with their smartphone, completes verification on the mobile device, and the result synchronizes back to the desktop in real-time via WebSocket connection.
From the desktop user's perspective, they scan a code, verify on their phone, and the desktop widget instantly updates to grant access no page refresh, no additional clicks, no manual token entry. The entire handoff is transparent and completes in under 30 seconds.
