The frameworks that govern
age verification worldwide.
Age verification laws vary by jurisdiction, industry, and content type. Understanding each regulatory framework is the first step to building a compliant platform.
Three compliance levels.
One global standard.
The map classifies every jurisdiction by the minimum legal age for age-restricted content and the verification method tier mandated or recommended by local law. Use it as your starting point for geo-targeted compliance configuration.
Match the method
to the jurisdiction.
Different jurisdictions accept different verification methods. The UK's OFCOM guidance recognizes three tiers: basic self-declaration, standard age estimation (Face-AI), and enhanced identity verification (Document-AI/Verify-AI). EU member states generally require privacy-preserving methods under GDPR.
US state laws typically mandate "reasonable age verification" using government ID, credit card, digital ID, or certified third-party services like AgeCheckPRO. Asia-Pacific jurisdictions often require real-name verification tied to national ID systems: South Korea's I-PIN, India's Aadhaar, Singapore's SingPass.
AgeCheckPRO supports all accepted verification methods globally: Self-Consent for low-friction markets, Face-AI for OFCOM tier 2 and EU AVMS, Document-AI for exact DOB extraction, and Verify-AI for full KYC/AML requirements. Configure methods per jurisdiction from the dashboard.
